Ibiza’s Nude Beaches

The White Isle is the perfect place to enjoy sun, sea and relaxation at any time of year, whether summer or winter.  While the island is internationally renowned for its party atmosphere, luxury holiday-making and as a favourite haunt for all kinds of celebrities, the reality is that Ibiza’s hippie spirit is still very much alive, as is its staunch defence of liberty, purity and nature.  If you share those ideals and need to feel the sun’s rays on every last part of your skin, there is a place for you in this part of the Mediterranean.  We’ll show you Ibiza’s best nude beaches and calas (coves), where you can enjoy naturism in idyllic surroundings.

The pick of Ibiza’s nude beaches and coves

  • Aguas Blancas (Santa Eulalia) On this beach, nudists share the rays with bathers who prefer to wear a little more. But you shouldn’t find yourself surrounded by crowds, as it’s a little tricky to reach these golden sands.
  • Punta Galera (San Antonio) This is a real haven of tranquillity in which naturists can enjoy plunging into the sea from the rocks.  Feel free to leave your swimwear behind but do take comfortable footwear because this cove is formed of flat rocky platforms.  This, and the fact that access isn’t easy, keeps the masses away.  Another useful accessory is a snorkel mask, as this is a great place for checking out underwater life.
  • Es Cavallet (San José). This nudist beach has become one of the most popular gay-friendly destinations in Europe.  It’s also famous for being the first of Ibiza’s official nude beaches. Nudism enthusiasts can find this 1km stretch of white sand, as well as its bars, restaurants and shops, a little south of Ibiza Town, just before Las Salinas beach.
  • Cala Comte (between San José and San Antonio) Although this isn’t one of Ibiza’s official nudist beaches, naturists are always welcome towards the ends of the beach.  One of the island’s most beautiful beaches, few people can resist Cala Comte once they’ve seen it.
